I can do it!
I have two types of people who ask me to order them guns.
The first type, has been referred to me by a trusted friend. They enter the relationship knowing that I’m gong to take care of them and their guard can be lowered. Usually, they say, “John, I need a Glock 19, can you get me one?” I respond by saying yes, and I’ll have it in a week. Notice there isn’t any discussion about price because they know that I’m going to take care of them. Price is secondary to service for these clients.
The second type, is a buyer who has spent a lot of time researching the gun and the prices. Probably has spent 5 hours on GunBroker looking and bidding, and another 10 hours driving to 5-6 gun shops and maybe a gun show or two. This buyer knows the MSRP and what the gun actually is selling for on the market. Probably learned that there is about a 5% band between high and low prices. This buyer absorbs a lot of the sellers time and usually isn’t ready to make a decision because of money. If you are this guy, just contact me when you are ready to buy. Tell me what you are willing to spend after tax. Like PriceLine.com, I’ll respond back with, “No, I can’t Get That Gun For That Price.” OR “It Will Be Ready In A Week." Keep in mind, you only get one chance. I'm looking for people who are ready to buy, not interested in 30 emails that takes time away from other clients.
